At Dolsin, we want customers to use and care for their pillows and sleep accessories appropriately. This guide provides general information for Dolsin pillows, foam products, pillowcases, height risers, and related sleep-comfort accessories.
Always check the instructions supplied with your specific product. Product-specific instructions and care labels take priority over this general guide.
Before First Use
Inspect your product after opening the package and before using it.
Some Dolsin foam pillows may be compressed for shipping. Where stated on the product page or packaging, allow approximately 24–48 hours after unpacking for the foam to expand and return to its intended shape.
Place the product in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated area during expansion.
Do not use a product if you notice significant damage that could make it unsuitable for normal use.
Caring for Foam Products
Many Dolsin pillows contain foam components that require different care from conventional fibre-filled pillows.
Unless the specific product instructions state otherwise:
- Do not machine wash the foam core
- Do not immerse or soak the foam in water
- Keep foam away from open flames and direct heat
- Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat
- Do not use bleach or harsh cleaning chemicals on the foam
- Allow foam to remain completely dry before covering or storing it
Always follow the care instructions provided with the individual product.
Removable Covers
Selected Dolsin pillows include removable outer covers.
Before washing:
- Remove the cover from the foam or internal pillow components.
- Check the care label.
- Wash according to the temperature and cycle specified on the label.
- Allow the cover to dry completely before placing it back on the pillow.
Do not assume that because an outer cover is machine washable, the internal foam is also washable.
Pillowcases
Dolsin pillowcases should be cleaned according to the instructions on their care labels.
Where a pillowcase is described as machine washable, remove it from the pillow before washing and follow the recommended washing and drying instructions.
Ensure the pillowcase is completely dry before putting it back onto the pillow.
Adjustable Pillows
Some Dolsin pillows contain removable foam layers that allow the pillow height to be adjusted.
When adjusting the pillow:
- Remove or add only the layers designed for adjustment
- Position the remaining layers evenly
- Make sure all components are correctly aligned
- Replace the outer cover securely before use
Do not cut or permanently alter foam components unless the product is specifically designed for such modification.
Height Risers
Compatible Dolsin height risers are designed to increase the height of selected adjustable pillow models.
Before using a riser:
- Confirm compatibility with your pillow model
- Position the riser beneath the appropriate pillow section
- Align all layers evenly
- Make sure the outer cover fits correctly after adjustment
Do not force an incompatible riser into a pillow or cover.
Cooling-Focused Products
Selected Dolsin products use cooling-focused materials, ventilated construction, or cooling-style covers intended to help create a more comfortable sleeping surface.
Cooling sensations and perceived temperature can vary depending on room temperature, bedding, clothing, individual preferences, and other environmental factors.
Follow the same product-specific cleaning and care instructions provided for the foam core and removable cover.
Regular Inspection
Periodically check your pillow or accessory for signs of significant wear or damage.
Stop using the product and contact Dolsin if you notice an issue such as:
- Severely damaged or deteriorated foam
- Exposed internal material
- A significantly damaged zipper
- Broken components
- Major seam failure
- Unusual deformation that affects normal use
- Other damage that could make the product unsuitable for its intended purpose
Intended Use
Use Dolsin products only for their intended purpose.
Pillows and related accessories should be placed and used in accordance with their product descriptions and supplied instructions.
Do not make structural modifications to a product unless the relevant component is specifically designed to be removed, replaced, or adjusted.
Children and Infants
Always follow any product-specific age guidance or safety information supplied with the product.
Adult pillows and sleep accessories should not automatically be considered suitable for infant bedding.
Keep plastic bags, compression packaging, protective wrapping, and other packaging materials away from babies and young children.
Dispose of or safely store packaging after unpacking the product.
Storage
If you need to store a Dolsin pillow or accessory:
- Make sure it is clean and completely dry
- Store it in a dry, ventilated environment
- Keep it away from excessive moisture
- Keep it away from open flames and direct heat
- Avoid placing heavy objects on foam products for extended periods
- Avoid prolonged compression or folding unless the product instructions permit it
